Love – A Contract for Life, Renewable Daily

We have all heard of a love contract. This is a contract to which two people swear with the intention of both committing and compelling each party in the relationship to be loyal to the other. The contract is binding regardless of changing feelings, intervening circumstances, divergent personal development directions, and a host of other challenges life tends to present.

Marriage is such a contract. Out-of-marriage contract agreements may or may not be just as binding, but may also carry a condition like: renewable periodically, or some such clause. But can any kind of contract determine the long-term 
viability of a relationship?
