Recent World Events

In the last few weeks we have seen more drastic world events.  We saw the amazing uprising of the people in Egypt, asserting their right and power as they demanded political freedom.  This provoked unrest in other middle eastern countries. Libya is in the throes of  upheaval as it tries to offload the tyranny of decades. Fighting continues in Afganhistan and in other countries.

This morning there was a catergory 6.3 earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, causing much destruction and many deaths and casualties. In Australia we are still cleaning up from the widespread flooding events and cyclone disasters of recent weeks.

Is it any wonder people are asking what's going on?

The planet seems to be in a new level of  upheaval and discord.  Would the thoughts and actions of humans have anything to do with these calamies?  You bet they do!  Human thought and intention is massively and powerfully creative.  Unfortunately, we seem to think thoughts of destruction, of discord, of  enemies and retaliation, of competition and greed, of selfishness and division.  This negative and discordant energy must materialize in our experience - and it does!  All thought manifests according to its energy; it manifests as human and planetary experience. 

When humans finally realize we are responsible in great part for the experience of terror, war, upheaval and pain we experience around the world, because of our negative thinking and resulting actions, only then, will we begin to change the outcomes and create a planet of peace and  unity.

So what difference can you and I make? We can focus on thinking happy and positive thoughts; thoughts of oneness with each other, of prosperity for all, of abundance and security for everyone, of health and healing, joy and hope, confidence and love, of a vibrant ecology, fresh air, healthy and abundant natural resources.
